Playing Games with watchX

watchX is great for gaming — I mean 8-bit gaming! Playing 8-bit games may sound funny in today's world. However, there's something about it. It brings back memories and reminds me where it all started.
When we were designing watchX, we knew that gaming should be involved. Because c'mon, 128x64 resolution display with 32kb ram, what else you can do with it:) However, there was one small problem, playing games in a watch form hardware has it's own limitation.
If our beloved users play games on watchX, it should be in an appropriate format. But how can we transform watchX into a form that you can hold and play comfortably?
The solution was to use the edge of the watchX and somehow plug it into a gamepad. If you remember the old NES/Atari cartridges, we were heavily inspired by them when designing the "watchX edge connector."
It may seem simple, but it required a lot of engineering and precise calculations to ensure it is secure, robust, and tight enough to stay firmly in place when inserted.
The design of the watchX gamepad adapter is inspired by the very first PlayStation controller, while the button layout takes inspiration from the Nintendo Game Boy.
All these games have been ported from Arduboy. Thanks to everyone involved in developing these games and making it happen!
